Hi Annie, hi Paul, Wow! That's living on the high side. That's good, especially for your birthday. The photos are great. We're so glad that you had a happy birthday. Continuing best wishes........David.
Happy Belated Birthday Annie! (Although, technically, I wished you a very early birthday when you were here in NY b/c I knew we wouldn't see you on the real day! so that counts right?) =) Anyhow, just back from Italy last night. WHAT a whirlwind of a vacation. On our last day in Capri (yes, you read correctly...we completely ditched ol' Tuscany. The venue is now, drum roll please...CAPRI!) Can't say I'm complaining. Am quite excited really. It's a great place. As I was saying, on our last day there before our return to NY, we sat in the hotel lobby on the 1 computer they had to book our train tickets from Naples to Rome and our hotel near the train station in Rome. Guess who I thought of as I sat there with Gerry (feeling very backpacker like for just 1 minute...I know, I know, very different from the REAL backpacking but let a girl dream!)...you guys! I said to Gerry, so this is what it feels like...booked everything last minute and we were set! Little did we know that we hadn't actually booked something. We arrive in Rome to find that they had "no reservation for us" as it said so in their archaic hand-written reservations book. Ah well. Give us one anyway we demand! Nope, he has no rooms left he says! Then, he realizes the site we booked it on IS actually his hotel's site BUT in English - silly man! Magically, a room appears!
FUN TIMES! We're back exhausted yet excited that we have a location! Hope all is well and looking forward to catching up when you're back. Miss you!
