Yesterday we went to Auschwitz. The tour was very interesting and the guide was perfect for the topic. She was from the town and was clearly very moved by the atrocities.
Today, our second UNESCO site. The salt mines near Krakow are 900 years old and house the world's deepest cathedral - 130m below ground. Very cool - it took a stone carver 65 years to carve the inside. Everything is made of salt, including the chandeliers!
Tomorrow we go to Warsaw for the day before heading to St. Petersburg.
